Daycare Program

We enroll children from 18 months old to 2 years old in our daycare centre in both our English section and our French section (Section Francophone).

With a teacher to student ratio of 1:5 our daycare offers close care and monitoring of children as they learn. We provide a warm, vibrant and child-friendly environment with a team of loving teachers and caregivers who care deeply for the children. Using carefully selected materials and activities, we offer the children opportunities to learn in areas that prepare them for later learning,  such as language, mathematics and science. Some of our daycare features are:

  • Using a play-based approach, children begin to understand the world around them using their senses. Children can feel, hear, see touch and smell objects using hands-on exploration of their environments and getting to know more about the world around them. They are also exposed to language and vocabulary related to what is in their environment and in their contexts.
  • Children learn many songs, some selected deliberately to give early exposure to language vocabulary, numbers and counting. With a wide variety of books including picture books, children experience storytelling that opens up a whole new world for them.
  • Activities that are deliberately crafted to ensure that children are using their fine motor skills in readiness for later writing are included every day. These include creative Art and design activities where they draw, paint, colour and make different kinds of crafts. The children also enjoy plenty of indoor and outdoor play that involves the use of large motor skills that helps them develop physical strength and fitness.
