NUTRITION

We believe that nutrition is a highly important component of children’s learning and development. Mealtimes are opportunities to teach children good etiquette and table manners as the children, caregivers and teachers sit together to have their meals. At the same time children learn the importance of eating healthy and balanced diets. Children are required to carry their own morning snack but lunch and afternoon snack will be provided at a fee.

It is recommended that children carry healthy snacks that consist of foods that are not too high in sugar or salt content. Snacks from home should be fresh and nutritious and can include, fruits, carrot sticks, yoghurt and milk.

For lunch fresh, nutritious food is prepared daily in the school kitchen, under clean and sanitary conditions. A well-planned weekly menu ensures variety to cater for the different tastes of the children.

We accommodate children’s dietary restrictions due to culture, religion or health issues such as allergies, and we urge parents to clearly communicate any of these to the school during enrollment.
